1.4 billion people have no access to electricity. A billion more only have access to unreliable electricity networks.

Lack of light and poverty go hand-in-hand, but with a little creativity and a few simple tools and materials, we are changing lives forever in a meaningful and sustainable way. Our solar light bulbs address the basic need for lighting in some of the world's developing communities. Using a plastic bottle, some water and bleach, we are turning waste into a sustainable lighting solution.

We're lighting up thousands of homes around the world – all from a Liter of Light.
